Description
The StarBBQ 36" Smokeless Fire Pit Insert (STARBBQ-36SFPR) drops into a standard stacked-stone fire pit and burns charcoal or wood with less smoke. A raised base feeds primary airflow under the fire, so the flames burn hotter and cleaner.
It measures 43-5/16" diameter x 11-1/4" H, needs a 38" diameter x 13" H cut-out and weighs about 55 lbs. The insert is cold-rolled steel with a high-temperature powder-coat finish for weather resistance. It ships as a 4-piece flat pack that goes together in under 10 minutes and works with most retaining wall blocks.

Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

Made a big difference on our patio. We used to get smoked out every time we had a fire, but this thing really works. Super easy to drop into our existing fire pit surround and it puts out great heat.
We love our new fire pit insert. The 36 inch size is perfect for family and friends to sit around, and not dodging smoke all night is a big plus. Feels well built and sturdy.
I'm a BBQ guy and I appreciate good engineering, and this insert has it. The smokeless design really works and evenings by the fire are a lot nicer. Solid piece and it looks great by our outdoor kitchen.
Works like they say, cuts the smoke way down. Install was straightforward. Only small gripe is the price, feels a bit steep for just the insert, but the quality is there.
If you're on the fence, just get it. We've spent so many more nice evenings outside since we put it in. No more smoky clothes or moving chairs around all night. Recommend it.
