Description
The StarBBQ 24" Santa Maria Charcoal Grill (STARBBQ-24CHBS-SMR-RSE-EXG) from Sunstone Metal Products is a height-adjustable charcoal and wood grill for searing and slow cooking in the Santa Maria style.
A smooth, cool-touch crank raises and lowers the grill rim. The raised sear rim insert puts food closer to the coals for a good crust and sear marks while keeping airflow up. The ExGrate expanded grate spreads heat evenly and is easy to clean, and sausage hooks on the adjustable rim let you hang sausages or other meats.
The grill is 304 stainless steel on a stable charcoal base built for heavy use. It measures 28" W x 40" H and 36" long, and weighs 65 lbs.

Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

Really happy with this 24 inch grill. The crank for raising and lowering the charcoal is smooth, so I can sear steaks or slow cook ribs just how I want. Feels really sturdy and well built.
Been using this Santa Maria grill for a few weeks and I'm really impressed. 24 inches is a good size for my family and the crank for the grate works great for managing heat. Big upgrade from my old kettle grill, especially for the smoky flavor.
This grill is everything I hoped for. You can tell it's built well, and Santa Maria style cooking turns out great every time. Tri-tip, chicken, being able to adjust the grate makes all the difference.
Solid grill and it cooks well, I got the Santa Maria flavor I was after. For the price though, I expected some accessories or maybe a cover to come with it. Good grill, value could be better.
The adjustable height is really useful for different cooks. My main gripe is the assembly instructions could have been clearer, and there were a couple of small scuffs when it arrived. Cooks well, but those little things added up.
