Description
The Sunstone 42" Gas Hybrid Dual Zone Charcoal/Wood Burning Grill (Item No. EMCHDZ42) combines gas, charcoal and wood grilling in one built-in grill. It suits everything from a family barbecue to a large gathering.
Two gas burners deliver a combined up to 35,000 BTUs. The dual-zone charcoal and wood drawers have Piezo push-button ignition, so charcoal or wood lights quickly without lighter fluid. Height-adjustable burn trays let you set the heat for searing or for low-and-slow smoking.
The grill is built entirely from 14 gauge 304 stainless steel and has an easy-lift, spring-assisted hood, an LED-lit front control panel and halogen interior lighting. It measures 42" W x 28" H x 27-1/8" D, needs a cut-out of 39-1/2" W x 12-3/4" H x 22" D and weighs 216 lbs.

Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

This 42 inch hybrid is a beast. I love switching between gas for quick weeknight meals and charcoal or wood for that smoky flavor on weekends. Feels really sturdy, should last a long time in my outdoor kitchen.
We host a lot and this grill has made it so much easier. I can sear steaks on the gas side while slow cooking ribs over charcoal on the other. Great for doing a couple cooking styles at once, and the size is perfect for feeding a crowd.
It's a solid grill and the hybrid idea is awesome. But getting the hang of cooking with charcoal and gas at the same time took more practice than I expected to get temps right across the whole grate. It's a premium grill, just be ready to spend some time learning it.
This grill is everything I wanted in an outdoor cooking setup. Being able to use gas, charcoal or wood with two zones is brilliant, and the materials are really good quality. My BBQ has gotten a lot better.
Grill performs well and the hybrid setup is handy for different kinds of cooking. But for over $6000 I expected the ash removal on the charcoal side to be easier to use. It's a good grill, just a big investment.
