Description
The 40" Sunstone Universal Appliance Jacket (SUNJK40) is built for the RUBY4B and RUBY4BIR and takes many other gas and hybrid grill brands out of the box with minor assembly. It is double-walled 304 stainless steel and gives the grill a heat barrier and proper venting inside an outdoor kitchen or BBQ island.
It fits most grills with a maximum cut-out of 34" W x 12" H x 22" D. The grill rests on the upper rim, hangs free inside the jacket and sits 1" above the counter. A self-supporting raised ledge runs around the sides and back, and the jacket is a zero clearance design.
Vents at the lower front and upper back edges pass excess heat and gas through. Covered utility ports let you open only the side your gas or electrical line uses. It works with natural gas or propane. Install it built-in, or as a post-mount grill with the matching accessories. Fastening a cabinet peg-leg at each bottom corner lets you set the jacket and grill on a picnic table or blocks before the island is ready. See our warranty page for coverage.

Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

I was a bit nervous about finding a jacket that would fit my older grill, but this one worked great. The minor assembly was straightforward and it looks really sleek in my new outdoor kitchen. Really happy with how it all came together.
Does its job, protects my grill and makes the outdoor kitchen look more finished. For the price though I expected a more premium feel. It's solid, just a bit expensive for what it is.

I'm a contractor and I've installed a few of these. Always a good choice. It's solid and protects the grill well, which matters outdoors. Plus it gives the whole setup a clean built-in look.
I'm not the handiest person but this was surprisingly easy to install. It really is universal, fit my hybrid grill perfectly. My outdoor kitchen looks much more professional and tidy now.
