Description
The Classic Series 17" x 24" Horizontal Door (Reversible) (DH1724) gives access to storage or utility lines inside an outdoor kitchen island.
It measures 27" W x 20" H x 1-5/8" D and fits a 24-1/4" W x 17-1/4" H cut-out, with a 1-1/2" flange. The door is not vented, so it is reversible: rotate it 180 degrees for a left or right swing. The door opens 180 degrees. The hinges are exposed, and magnets against a 430 stainless steel strike plate hold the door closed. It weighs 11.5 lbs.
The frame is 16 gauge 304 stainless steel and the door panel 18 gauge 304 stainless steel, in a No. 4 light brushed finish with the flush look of the other Classic Series components. It ships with the Polished Chrome Handle (zinc alloy, chrome plated).

Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

Just installed this door in my new outdoor kitchen and it's great. Being reversible made install easy and the stainless feels solid. Exactly what I needed to finish off the grill area.
Really nice door. The 17 x 24 size gives me good access to the plumbing and gas lines and it blends right in with the rest of my outdoor kitchen. Keeps things tidy.
Good quality stainless and the reversible hinge is nice. For $235 for one access door though, I expected a sturdier latch. It does the job, nothing special for the price.
Looks great once it's in and the 17 x 24 opening is practical. The instructions for reversing the door were a little unclear, which added time to the install. It's sturdy, but getting it perfectly flush took some effort.
Solid choice for an outdoor kitchen. The stainless feels durable and the horizontal layout worked for my setup. Holding up to the weather fine so far.
