## Description

The CDZ42 is a Sunstone waterproof cover for 42" drop-in charcoal grills. It measures 48-13/16" W x 31" H and keeps the grill dry, clean and out of the sun, which extends the life of the grill.

The heavy-duty, weather-resistant waterproof fabric has an anti-UV coating that guards against fading and material breakdown, and it blocks dust and debris and helps prevent rust. Built-in tension around all edges holds the cover tight, which prevents condensation and water buildup and keeps critters out. It weighs about 3 lbs, goes on easily, and helps keep children from tampering with the grill knobs when the grill is unattended. See our [warranty page](https://sunstonemp.com/warranty) for coverage.

## Questions & answers

**Q: Is this cover hard to get on and off? Will it blow away in the wind?**

It goes on and off your 42" drop-in charcoal grill without a fight. We don't list elastic hems or straps for this cover, though a lot of good covers have them to keep wind from lifting. The close fit generally keeps it in place, but if it's really windy where you are, add bungee cords or clips around the base.

**Q: Does this cover have a warranty? What if it rips or leaks after a few months?**

Coverage details are on our warranty page. If it rips or starts leaking, contact us with your order number and we'll help or send a replacement.

**Q: Can I just hose this cover off, or does it need special care to stay waterproof?**

You can hose it down to get dirt and debris off. For tougher stains, use a soft brush with mild soap and water, then rinse well. Avoid harsh chemicals and abrasive scrubbers because they can wear down the waterproof coating over time.

**Q: What's this cover made of? Will it tear or fade fast in sun and rain?**

It's a heavy-duty, weather-resistant material made for outdoor use. It's built to handle strong sun, heavy rain and even snow without fading or tearing, so your grill stays protected season after season.

**Q: I just bought a 42 inch drop-in charcoal grill. Will this cover fit it, or should I measure first?**

It's made for 42" drop-in charcoal grills and measures 48.8" W x 31" H. It fits most standard 42 inch models, but it's worth measuring your grill's outside width and height first. A little extra room makes it easy to take on and off, but too much lets wind get under it.
