## Description

The StarBBQ 24" Smokeless Fire Pit Base with Santa Maria Rim, Raised Searing Grate and ExGrate (STARBBQ-24FPBS-SMR-RSE-EXG) burns wood or charcoal with minimal smoke, thanks to patented airflow technology. It gives you adjustable searing and direct grilling in one unit.

A hand crank raises and lowers the Santa Maria rim for temperature control and self-basting. The raised V-Track searing grate handles high-heat searing and grill marks, and the ExGrate cooking grate is for direct grilling over the flames.

The 24" base is 304 stainless steel with a heat-resistant powder coating, and the set weighs about 75 lbs. The modular design works standalone, as a portable fire pit or built into a custom outdoor kitchen.

## Questions & answers

**Q: I'm spending over a thousand dollars on this. What kind of warranty or support do I get if something goes wrong?**

Coverage details are on our warranty page. If you have questions about using it, maintenance or a warranty claim, contact us with your order number and we'll help.

**Q: Can I burn wood in it as a fire pit and use charcoal when I grill?**

Yes. Regular firewood works for a smokeless fire, and good lump charcoal or briquettes work for grilling on the raised searing grate or ExGrate. We'd skip putting lighter fluid directly on the stainless steel and use natural fire starters instead.

**Q: My current grill is a pain to clean. How easy is this one to clean after grilling or using it as a fire pit?**

It's pretty easy. The stainless parts, including the Santa Maria rim, raised searing grate and ExGrate, wipe down or scrub with a grill brush after each use. For ash, let the base cool completely, then scoop it out with a small shovel or use a shop vac. Because it's smokeless, you'll also get less residue buildup than with a regular fire pit.

**Q: How does this hold up to weather? What's it made from?**

It's mainly heavy gauge 304 stainless steel, which resists corrosion very well. It's made to handle rain, snow and extreme temperatures without rusting or breaking down, as long as you take care of it.

**Q: Is it hard to set up with all the different grates?**

Not really. The base comes largely pre-assembled, and the Santa Maria rim, raised searing grate and ExGrate just set in place and lift out without tools. Mostly you'll unbox it, position it and pick how you want to cook that day. It's heavy, so we'd have two people for the first placement.
