## Description

The Sunstone 42" 5-Burner Built-In Gas Grill w/IR (SUN5BIR) is a grill for an outdoor kitchen island, sized for large patio gatherings. It comes in natural gas or liquid propane.

Five burners put out up to 100,000 BTU across the 42" grilling area for zone cooking and searing. An infrared rotisserie burner (up to 15,000 BTU) roasts meats evenly, and a built-in smoker box and warming rack are included. The grates are 3/8" 304 stainless steel rods.

The grill is 304 stainless steel. Electronic ignition, interior lights for evening grilling and a roll-along drip tray for cleanup are standard. It hangs free in the island for airflow, so the island needs proper ventilation as described in the Sunstone Gas Grill Manual.

## Questions & answers

**Q: What's the warranty on this grill? I want to know I'm covered down the road.**

Coverage details are on our warranty page. If anything goes wrong, contact us with your order number and we'll help.

**Q: Cleaning is a hassle for me. How easy is this grill to clean, especially the infrared burner?**

It's made to be easy. The stainless wipes down with a grill cleaner, and the grates are sturdy enough for a stiff brush. For the infrared burner, run it on high for a few minutes after you cook to burn off food residue, then brush it once it's cool. A quick clean after each use keeps it cooking its best.

**Q: For the price I want this grill to last. What's it made of and how does it handle weather?**

It's heavy-duty 304 stainless steel, which resists rust and corrosion really well and is perfect outdoors. It handles strong sun, rain and humidity and keeps looking and cooking great for years.

**Q: My outdoor kitchen is pretty basic. Does this grill need a certain countertop to handle the heat?**

It can go into all kinds of outdoor kitchen setups. It's well insulated, but make sure your countertop, whether it's granite, concrete or stainless, is rated for high heat. Also make sure your island has enough ventilation so heat doesn't build up in the cabinet underneath.

**Q: I'm replacing my old grill. How complicated is it to install this 42 inch, and do I need a pro?**

With basic DIY skills it's pretty manageable, especially if you're replacing a built-in grill. It drops into a standard cutout, and mostly you're connecting the gas line and securing it. You don't absolutely need a pro, but we always recommend a certified gas tech connect the gas for safety and to meet local code.
