## Description

The Sunstone 36" Grill Wall Panel with Smoke Deflector (SUN-36BSSD) mounts behind a built-in grill or side burner and acts as a heat barrier for the wall, cabinets and upper structures. The angled top edge directs smoke and grease up and away from them.

It is made of 18 gauge 304 stainless steel for corrosion resistance outdoors and measures 36" W x 1-1/8" D x 37-1/2" H. It weighs 17.2 lbs and mounts with the 9 included M8x60 stainless steel expansion screws.

You can mount it on the wall in the usual way, or flip it upside down along the countertop as an edge that keeps debris from falling behind the grill. It works with gas grills, hybrid charcoal grills and infrared burners on outdoor kitchen islands and patios, and it keeps grease splatter and smoke off nearby surfaces.

**Q: Does the smoke deflector actually do anything, or is it just for looks?**

It really works. It's angled to push smoke up and away from where you're cooking and from nearby surfaces. That makes the air around the grill a lot better and keeps smoke stains off your outdoor kitchen.

**Q: What's the warranty on this wall panel? I want it to last.**

**Q: What does the 304 stainless need to keep looking good outside?**

Not much. Wipe it down regularly with a damp cloth and mild soap to get grease and grime off. For stubborn spots or to bring the shine back, use a stainless steel cleaner and polish, wiping with the grain so it doesn't streak.

**Q: My grill isn't a Sunstone. Will this panel still work and protect against heat?**

Yes. It's a universal heat barrier and smoke deflector. As long as your grill is 36 inches wide or less, it'll shield your outdoor kitchen from heat and push smoke away, whatever brand your grill is.

**Q: How hard is the wall panel to install? Do I need special tools?**

A DIYer can usually handle it. It mounts right to the back wall of your outdoor kitchen. You'll need basic tools like a drill, level and screwdriver, and it helps to have a second person hold it in place while you mount it.
