## Description

The Sunstone 10" Wide Pro-Sear Cooking Grate (SUNCP-SEAR) is a 304 stainless steel high heat searing grate for natural gas or propane grills. It is double layered, with channel tubes that spread the heat across the searing surface, and it reaches over 700 degrees at the grilling surface. Other brands often quote the temperature at the burner, which always runs hotter than the surface you actually sear on.

The grate is perforated and handles hot dogs, bacon, ribeyes and other steaks, burgers, asparagus and other vegetables. It drops in as an insert on any Sunstone or Ruby grill, or sits on top of the cooking grates on other grills. Use one by itself or several side by side to build a multi-configurable searing setup.

It is made from 18 gauge 304 stainless steel and measures 10" W x 1-1/8" H x 19-1/8" D. It ships fully assembled, so it goes straight from the box onto the grill.

**Q: How should I clean the sear grate after using it?**

Clean it while it's still warm but not scorching. Use a sturdy wire brush to get the food off. For a deeper clean, wash it with warm soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge, then rinse and dry it well so you don't get water spots.

**Q: What's the sear grate made of, and how long will it last outside?**

It's high-grade, heavy-duty stainless steel. It's very durable and resists rust, corrosion and warping, even with intense heat. With some care it'll hold up to regular outdoor use for years and keep searing the same.

**Q: Does this sear grate fit all Sunstone grills, or only certain ones?**

It's a Ruby grill part, so it's made for Sunstone Ruby Series grills. It might physically fit other grills, but you'll only get the right heat and searing performance on a Ruby.

**Q: How do I put this sear grate in my grill?**

It's simple. It replaces one of the existing grates on compatible Sunstone Ruby Series grills. Take the old grate out and drop this one in. Make sure it sits flat so you get the most heat for a good sear.
