## Description

The StarBBQ Rocket Stove Camper Box (STARBBQ-RSBBOX) is a twig-burning rocket stove built into a genuine military M2A1 .50 cal ammo can. It burns natural biomass like twigs and sticks and reaches over 1,100°F (593°C). It is meant for off-grid camping, overlanding, bushcraft and emergency kits.

The can is cold-rolled steel with its original airtight rubber gasket, so when it is closed it stays waterproof and dustproof. Setup takes under 60 seconds: fold out the stove, raise the collapsible chimney and drop the folding legs. The lid converts into a 15-1/2" x 11-1/2" steel side table for prep.

Closed, the box measures 12" L x 6-1/4" W x 8-3/4" H. Open, it is 24" long with an 11-5/8" chimney. It weighs 11.4 lbs.

## Questions & answers

**Q: What warranty or support comes with the rocket stove?**

Coverage details are on our warranty page. If something goes wrong, contact us by email or phone and we'll help with troubleshooting, parts or a warranty claim.

**Q: Is it a pain to get the ash out of the rocket stove?**

No. Once it's completely cool, you just dump the ash out of the combustion chamber. A stiff brush helps with stubborn residue, and a damp cloth takes care of the outside. You don't need harsh chemicals, and they could damage the finish.

**Q: What's the stove itself made of? How durable is it?**

The outer shell is heavy gauge steel, which is what the military grade ammo can part refers to. The combustion chamber and cooking surface are typically high temp stainless steel, so it stands up to heat, rust and knocks. It's built to last for years of use.

**Q: Can I burn charcoal in this rocket stove, or just wood?**

It works best with small pieces of wood, twigs and other biomass, which is what makes a rocket stove so efficient. You could burn charcoal briquettes, but it won't burn as efficiently or as clean and you'll get more ash. Stick with wood for the best results.

**Q: How long does this rocket stove take to set up? Any tools needed?**

Usually less than a minute. Unlatch the ammo can, extend the combustion chamber and put in the fuel support. No tools needed.
