## Description

The StarBBQ 48" Smokeless Fire Pit Insert (STARBBQ-48SFPR) is sized for large outdoor spaces. It gives hotter, clearer flames with little visible smoke, and its raised base lets primary airflow reach the fire for better combustion.

It measures 55-1/2" diameter x 11-1/4" H, needs a 50" diameter x 13" H cut-out and weighs about 65 lbs. The insert is cold-rolled steel with a high-temperature powder-coat finish. It drops into standard stacked-stone fire pits or retaining wall blocks, and the 4-piece flat pack assembles in under 10 minutes without special tools.

It burns charcoal or wood, and you can add Post-Mount Swivel Grillers later if you want to cook over the fire. See our [warranty page](https://sunstonemp.com/warranty) for coverage.

## Questions & answers

**Q: What's the warranty on this fire pit insert?**

Coverage details are on our warranty page. If you have an issue after you buy, contact us with your order number and we'll help with troubleshooting or a warranty claim.

**Q: How do I keep the smokeless part working? Do I need special cleaners?**

After each use, let it cool completely and clean the ash and debris out of the bottom. Now and then, wipe the stainless with a damp cloth and mild soap. You normally don't need any special products. The key to the smokeless performance is keeping the vents clear so air can flow.

**Q: What's the insert made of, and how does it handle the weather?**

It's heavy duty, corrosion resistant stainless steel. It's built to handle intense heat, rain and snow without rusting or breaking down, and with proper care it'll last you years.

**Q: Will this insert fit my existing custom fire pit opening?**

It's made for a 48 inch opening. It's built to a common standard, but measure your opening carefully before you order. If yours is a little off, you may need some minor changes so it fits snug and safe.

**Q: How hard is it to install this 48 inch fire pit insert? Do I need special tools?**

It's manageable for most homeowners who've done some outdoor projects. You'll usually need a drill, a screwdriver and a level. It comes with a detailed manual and all the mounting hardware.
