Let it cool all the way, then dump out the ash and used chips. For stuck on residue, scrub it with a stiff brush and warm soapy water, or use a grill cleaner. Rinse it well and dry it completely before you put it away.

**Q: What kind of stainless is this smoker box, and how long will it last?**

It's food grade stainless steel, so it resists rust and corrosion even with a lot of high heat use. It should give you many years of grilling and smoking.
