The Ruby Grill Thermostat (R-Tmeter) is a hood temperature gauge for Ruby gas grills. It reads up to 800°F (427°C) and fits most Ruby grill hoods.

**Q: How do I clean this thermometer and keep it accurate?**

Wipe the outside with a damp cloth and mild soap. Skip harsh abrasives so you don't scratch the glass. Check the mounting nut now and then to make sure it's snug, especially after big temperature swings. That keeps it accurate and keeps moisture out.

**Q: What's this thermometer made of? Will it handle the heat and the weather?**

It's stainless steel with high-temperature glass. It handles the heat inside the grill and resists corrosion from rain, humidity and sun, so the readings stay accurate.

**Q: Will this work on my older Ruby Emerald series grill?**

It fits most Ruby gas grills, including a lot of the older Emerald series. As long as your lid has a standard thermometer port, or enough flat surface to drill a new one, it should fit. If you already have an opening, measure it first just to be sure.

**Q: How hard is it to put this thermometer on my grill lid? Need any special tools?**

It's pretty easy. Usually you drill a small pilot hole if there isn't one already, then secure it with the included nut and washer. A standard drill and a wrench are normally all you need. It's a quick DIY upgrade on most Ruby gas grills.
