Description
The 28" Insulated Large Drop-In Ice Chest (A-IC) is a built-in ice chest for an outdoor kitchen or bar. Every panel, including the 1" thick lid, is packed with high-density insulation, so ice lasts longer even on hot days. In direct sun it keeps contents cold longer than many standard outdoor fridges.
The chest measures 28" W x 21" D x 13-1/2" H and needs a cut-out of 26-1/8" W x 19-1/8" D x 10-1/4" H. The basin is extra deep for large amounts of ice, drinks or chilled food.
It is built from food-safe 304 stainless steel inside and out, using 16, 18 and 20 gauge material, with a No. 4 light brushed finish that matches the rest of the Sunstone line. The rectangle shape has sharp, modern edges, and the rigid lid stands up to weather, rain and sun.

Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

The 28 inch size is perfect for our outdoor bar and it keeps drinks cold a long time. But install was trickier than I expected and the drain plug feels a little flimsy for something this nice. Gets the job done, I was just hoping for an easier setup for the price.
Love this ice chest. We had a big BBQ last weekend and even in the heat the ice lasted all day and into the night. The drop in looks sleek and matches our other Sunstone stuff.
Insulation is pretty good, keeps drinks cold for hours at our backyard parties. 28 inches holds a good amount of drinks and food. My only real gripe is the price, feels a little steep for what it is even though it's well made.
Does what it's supposed to, keeps ice frozen a long time. The drop in was easy to fit into my custom island. Only minor complaint is the lid feels a bit heavy and could close smoother.
I'm big into BBQ and this ice chest is great. We used it for a big family cookout and it held all our drinks and marinades and stayed icy for over 24 hours. The stainless is good quality and it looks great in our outdoor kitchen.
