## Description

The Sunstone Designer Series Raised Style 18" Trash Drawer (DE-TRD18) holds one large trash bin inside a weather-sealed box that keeps odors in and pests out.

It measures 18" W x 23" D x 23" H and fits a 16-1/2" W x 21" H cut-out. The 23" height matches the other Designer Series components. It sits 1-1/2" off the finished wall, it works with veneer stone, stucco and masonry islands, and an extra 1/16" trim runs around all four sides of the frame.

The drawer is 16 gauge 304 stainless steel with a solid stainless steel rod handle, and it runs on soft-close tracks. Adjustable self-leveling legs make leveling simple. It can be installed vertically or horizontally and pairs with Sunstone Cabinet Island products, other Designer Series components and other BBQ brands. See our warranty page for coverage.

**Q: How do I keep this trash drawer looking new outside?**

Clean it regularly with mild soap and water. For tougher stains or to bring back the shine, use a stainless steel cleaner and polish, wiping with the grain. Avoid abrasive cleaners and scouring pads because they can scratch the surface and damage its protective layer.

**Q: Will a regular trash can fit in this drawer, or do I need a certain size?**

It fits most standard kitchen trash cans, typically 10 to 13 gallons. Measure the inside of the drawer once it's installed to be sure your can fits. A can with a slight taper is easier to slide in and out.

**Q: I'm in Florida. Will this trash drawer rust? What's it made of?**

It's part of the Designer Series and made from 304 grade stainless steel, which resists rust and corrosion very well, even in coastal areas like Florida. Clean it regularly to help keep the finish looking good.

**Q: How hard is it to put this trash drawer into an island I already have?**

It's pretty easy if you have basic DIY skills. The self-leveling legs adjust to uneven surfaces on their own, so it's much easier to get it stable and flush without shims. Mostly you'll cut the right size opening in the island and secure the drawer with the included hardware.
