The 22 In. Sunstone Post Mount for the Appliance Jackets is uniquely designed to attach to all Sunstone Jacket Models right out of the box with minor assembly. The Post Mount is a safety essential when installing your Grill or Burner as a Stand-Alone grilling station for your patio, wood deck, or rooftop villa. This post-mount has a single heavy duty 6 In. by 6 In. post with a solid 6 Gauge thickness mounting base and in all 304 stainless steel. The Post Mount allows the jacket to function perfectly with optimal airflow with in/out vents in the lower front bottom edge and upper back edge which feature open vents allowing pass-through venting of all excess heat and dangerous gasses. Make your kitchen a snap with the complete Jacket, Wings & Post Mount package combined to allow your burner or grill to free-stand in a stationary position as a Post-Mount Burner or Grill of your choice. What is the minimum counter depth to install Ruby 4 Burner Pro-Sear 36″ with a wall behind the grill?
(I understand from the manual that the cut out is is 22", and that I need to leave at least 4" behind the back of the grill and the wall, but what I don't understand is how far the back of the grill extends behind the cut out. Because I don't know how far the back of the grill extends behind the cut out, I can't calculate the counter depth I need to leave 4" between the back of the grill and the wall.)

Hi - Measuring from the back of the grills FireBox it is 3-5/8" to the back edge of grill, and from the cut-out line its between 2-3 inches. The hood extends an additional 3" when Open, so is why you need a minimum 4" clearance. All this is illustrated on the grills Specification Sheet, you can download in the section box Downloads.
